How to Install and Run RSBot

Hopefully this will clear up a few questions you guys might have if you've never heard of RSBot. Be sure to post feedback if this works or if you have a question.

• Go to Guests cannot view this thread. Please register for free clicking here to see the post.
• Download JDK 6 Update 16 (it's usually the 4th item on the page)
• Install JDK 6
• Download tortoisesvn: Guests cannot view this thread. Please register for free clicking here to see the post.
• Install Tortoise SVN
• Right Click on your Desktop and Create a New Folder
• Name this folder RSBot
• Right Click on the RSBot folder and select SVN Checkout
• Copy this link into the URL of repository field: Guests cannot view this thread. Please register for free clicking here to see the post.
• Click OK
• Open the RSBot Folder
• Double Click the Compile.bat file
• Double Click the RSBot-###.jar file (### will be some number)
• Input RuneScape account information
• Go to File -> Run Script to run a script
• Enjoy
  

Note: Sometimes RSBot may be out of date and not work. This is normal so there's nothing you can do but wait when this happens.

To get the latest version of RSBot, right click on your RSBot folder and select SVN Update. You will then need to run Compile.bat but then you should be good to go.

No problem. Keep in mind that RSBot is broken right now (being updated to work with the latest runescape graphics engine), but it should be back soon.

If i Was Advertising a Bot on My Forums. i Would Atleast go with Rsbots.net

becus they offer the best for your money,and they Have a Great Anti-ban Feature in the Scripts.

Thats How i got my 80 fishing off them.

I've read good things about rsbots.net. The reason I promote RSBot because it is free and open source, but I'm open for anyone to post guides for any bots out there. I think it would be good to have some guides or examples of rsbots.net's bots in action too.

What's the SVN for?

I've never used that before, and you need to point out that you need to set the enviornmental values for JDK.

I prefer the SVN instead of directly downloading their precompiled bot because it's guaranteed to be the latest update available and you can comb through the source code to see if there's anything malicious (not that I've ever had that problem).

HELP i downloaded rsbot from the website but after any script i just start spinning around in circles...(im trying the mining ones)
